What Makes Gobblers Call Shy?

There are many factors that may contribute to making gobblers "Call Shy"
Hunting pressure is often the main reason.
Some Gobblers may have encounters with several different hunters.
Those birds get educated quickly and learn to avoid calling.
Also older, smarter, more experienced birds are less likely to come running in at the sound of a hen call.
Another reason may be very natural; there are days in the woods when turkeys are very vocal, and other days they won't make a sound at all.  So it may be unnatural to call on days that the birds are quiet. You must do as the Turkeys are doing on these days, communicate using body langue. This is when the Spin-N-Strut’s Natural Life Like Motion stands above the rest, and works better than any other decoy on the market.
